Focus Ireland celebrates Pride by sharing our ongoing efforts to support customers who identify as LGBTQI+ year round and discussing the culture of openness, respect and empowerment experienced by employees and customers alike.
In 2023, we asked our colleagues from across the organisation to discuss the impact of homelessness on LGBTQI+ people in Ireland and around the world, the work we do at Focus Ireland and their connection to Pride.
This June, we’re continuing the conversation and discussing further work being done to support LGBTQI+ people. We strive to support all of customers whenever they need it, not just once a year, with much of the support we provide coming from our incredible frontline workers and the individual support our customers receive everyday.

LGBTQI+ Youth Homelessness in Ireland
A Qualitative Study
In 2020, Focus Ireland released a first-of-its kind report into LGBTQI+ Youth Homelessness in Ireland, in partnership with Belong To.
This report follows similar research in the UK and US which highlights the significant number of LGBTQI+ youth experiencing homelessness. This experience is often linked to severed familial ties following their coming out as LGBTQI+.
