A Place Called Home
Focus Ireland has always taken a progressive approach to tackling homelessness. Since its foundation in 1985, we have identified the routes into homelessness and then worked to progress the policy, services and legislation that will block these pathways.
A Place Called Home is a new initiative which aims to raise €30M over five years to ensure that key services and programmes set out in our new strategic plan can be funded and implemented in full.
We are prioritising three key initiatives around
- Families
- Children
- Young People
These initiatives will have the greatest positive impact on individuals, families and children who are at risk of – or already experiencing – homelessness today.
These programs are designed to:
- Prevent more families from becoming homeless
- Support those experiencing homelessness
- Minimise the harm caused when homelessness does occur
Our success will depend upon the support, dedication, and financial support of many individuals, companies and organisations. For more information on how you can get involved, please contact Focus Ireland’s Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy, Grainne Kennedy at Grainne.Kennedy@focusireland.ie.
