Your pledge will ensure that your values of humanity, integrity, and compassion live on in the care that each family, child, and young person receives.

The promise of a gift in your will is the most meaningful and impactful way of making a lasting difference in communities across Ireland. Every year, Focus Ireland works with over 14,000 customers across Ireland, including over 4,300 children at risk of homelessness.

You can make a will at any time. Many people choose to create or update their will at important moments in their lives, such as when they move home, become parents, or retire.

It is important to make a will so that your wishes are respected and your assets are distributed among the people and organisations that are important to you.

When you are meeting with your solicitor to devise your will, you will need the name, address, and registered charity number of Focus Ireland to ensure your wishes are clear. These are as follows:

Your will is a private document and you do not need to share any information about your will with Focus Ireland if you do not wish to. However, if you have left a gift to Focus Ireland in your will, informing us about the substance of this gift can help us plan for the future. In addition, when you inform us of your plans, we can keep you up to date on our work and invite you to special events.

Your gift will be used in Focus Ireland services across Ireland. It could help a family through our Family Homeless Action Team, help a young person continue their education through our PETE service, or provide a safe home in which children can build happy lives.

In choosing to leave a gift to Focus Ireland, you are making a promise to be there for families, children, and young people at risk of homelessness. We make the following promises to you so you can be certain of what to expect from us.

• We promise to use your gift diligently and prudently so that it has the greatest impact on families, children, and young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
• We recognise that your loved ones; family and friends come first and we promise to treat them with the utmost respect, sensitivity and courtesy at all times.
• Leaving a legacy is a private and personal decision and yours alone. We respect your right to change it at any time in the future.
• You don’t need to tell us that you have chosen to leave a gift in your Will, but if you do so, we would love to thank you and keep you updated about our work and include you in any events of interest to you.
